Chinatown

Be sure to check out Chinatown. It’s the oldest one in the states, and the largest one in the world (outside of Asia). The streets are vibrantly and ornately decorated and filled to the brim with exotic food and experiences- tea houses, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples, and restaurants galore. Chinatown is a world of its own.

 

Fisherman’s Wharf

Fisherman’s Wharf is a neighborhood/tourist attraction filled with family fun and breathtaking scenery. Just some of the things to do there include indulging in one of the many dining options for delectable, fresh seafood, visiting an aquarium of the bay filled with marine life, enjoying local street performers, exploring the Ripley’s Believe it or Not! museum, and more. It’s a must see.

 

Alcatraz

Housing the most notorious criminals in history, the Alcatraz prison located on Alcatraz Island is a dynamic and fascinating place to visit. This island was also home to the first lighthouse. You can enjoy a variety of tours of the prison and scenic views of the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate bridge. Tickets sell out, so booking months in advance of your trip is highly recommended.

 

Cable Cars

One popular way to explore and enjoy the city, is to hitch a ride aboard one of San Francisco’s famous cable cars. These cable cars are rich in history, having been ran since 1873 and named a historic landmark. There are 17 miles of track remaining for riders today, offering gorgeous and highly memorable views.
